Stairway to Freedom is a community of Recovery Homes in Chicago, Illinois that provides a structured and safe environment to help addicts and alcoholics rebuild their lives and build a strong foundation for a successful and ongoing recovery. Without programs, you’ll be on your way to sober living in Chicago.

Stairway to Freedom offers you safe housing, structure, and support when you are clean and committed to sober living in Chicago. We are a community of people who stay clean and sober – a built in support network where help and a sense of fellowship can be found.

There are over one thousand 12 Step Meetings a week in the Chicagoland area that are available to our residents. It is a great time to be clean and sober in Chicago; the recovery community is growing in numbers and strength. With the structure and support of Stairway to Freedom: Sober Living Chicago and working a program of recovery, the sky is the limit!

Our Simple Keys to Sober Living:

1. Abstinence from all drugs and alcohol.
2. Active participation in a program of recovery.
3. The ability to live in a shared sober living community.
4. Regular attendance of 12 step meetings focused on sober living in Chicago.

Stairway to Freedom works with newcomers who need extra support early on in recovery. It is advantageous to be around others in the same situation, as isolation and loneliness can be major triggers. Our clients are able to come and go as they please, as long as they return by curfew clean and sober. Our clients are subject to random breathalyzers and drug screens.
